Well, isn’t that a million-dollar question! Being somebody who can’t stand overly flowery statements and guarantees about this, that, or the other thing, I will tell you plainly. What makes me different than all the others is you, the customer. It is up to YOU to determine how working with me is different. There are other licensed and good qualified contractors in our area. Maybe I just have the availability you need. I probably won’t be the cheapest and my quality and attention to detail, while very good, I’m sure is matched by some of the aforementioned other good and licensed contractors. No, it is not for me to say what makes me the kind of different that matters most to you. Choosing a contractor is largely a feel. I couldn’t tell you why some customers say yes and others no and I can’t tell you why my Wife said, “I like this guy more than all the others, I think I live with him till one of us dies”.

New construction projects are usually billed on a cost-plus basis. It’s the cost of the job plus a percentage for Riverwood for the services of building your home. Other smaller jobs are billed as a fixed price.

I really try to make the job, big or small, as easy as possible. I try my very best to communicate frequently throughout the process both to understand what your needs are as well as to update you on progress and prepare you for next steps. Most importantly I try to keep the serious bits serious and the lighthearted bits lighthearted. If we can’t laugh together, we probably shouldn’t work together.

Riverwood Contracting started in 2019. Before that I worked for national builders as a construction manager. Before that Job I worked as a county building inspector for new construction builds. All in all, I’ve been involved directly with new construction since 2014.

We have started taking credit cards from all major providers

All of our trade partners are licensed and insured. I would not let anybody work on your house that I would not let work on mine.

I do not do any sort of mold, asbestos, or lead abatement. It requires special certifications that I do not have nor will I be perusing in the near future.
